Healthy Food
All meals served at ABC Kidcare are monitored by a USDA food program. This ensures that the children are being served well-balanced nutritional meals.
At ABC Kidcare each child is served individually in a family style setting, serving meals in a safe and sanitary manner. Staff test all food for a safe temperature and closely supervise all children while eating, sitting with children during meals when possible. No child is ever forced to eat or try any food and we are respectful of each child’s cultural food practices.

Meal Plans
Grains provide many nutrients that are vital for the health and maintenance of our bodies. At ABC Kidcare, we make sure that at least half of the grains served are whole grains, and that the children get at least one serving of whole grains every day.
Eating fruit provides health benefits — people who eat more fruits and vegetables as part of an overall healthy diet are likely to have a reduced risk of some chronic diseases. We serve whole fruits with every meal.
Vegetables are nutrient dense, including potassium, fiber, folate (folic acid) and vitamins A, E and C. Vegetables are found in every meal that we serve at ABC Kidcare, helping children build healthy dietary habits.
