Miss Ashley started ABC Kidcare in August of 2013, where she brought prior preschool experience, nanny experience, and Child Education courses. Before long, the environment at ABC Kidcare taught the most effective and educational styles to help a child grow and bloom. Some of Miss Ashley’s favorite memories include Farmer’s Market, where each child and teacher would create a craft or some wonderful treat, gather pumpkins of our choosing, go on hayrides with stories and friends, share food from our own garden at ABC Kidcare, and their home gardens, etc. Utilizing Money Savvy, a curriculum that teaches children how to save, spend, donate, or invest their money while teaching math and financial literacy, and going to food pantries with the children to encourage them to invest some time in helping their community with donating and assembling food boxes for families in
need.

Miss Ashley loves working with the children and creating connections with each child and family, as we all work together to help each child grow and blossom. The connection and positive interactions really make ABC Kidcare stand out, and it feels more like a big family working together. She’s found such passion in working with children and learning the immense joy from teaching, watching an idea and new knowledge implanting in a child’s mind as a rewarding experience. Knowing you can help mold the future generation into these intelligent, strong-willed, capable beings is a huge responsibility and worth the work!

Miss Ashley received her Bachelor’s Degree with a Major in Psychology and a Minor in Child Development in 2021 from California State University, Chico, using both courses to apply to everyday work by knowing how to help the child and in the most effective and compassionate ways. Over the years, she has gone to many STARS training sessions and ECE courses to keep current on Child Development and learning techniques, as Skagit County offers some great seminars to be utilized.

To relax, Miss Ashley enjoys reading in her hammock in her spare time, along with a hike or kayak ride on occasion, and loves to camp with her family and take their boat, Arya, out for the weekends. With a baby on the way, Miss Ashley is enjoying scrapbooking and preparing for the new journey into motherhood!
