Experience: 20 Years of Grandmothering
Hobbies: Baking, Crafting and Gardening.
While not an official employee of ABC Kidcare, Grandma Laurie plays an important role in the program. Since the beginning, she has helped with all the special themed curriculum and craft projects. She has made us an entire collection of handcrafted felt stories as well as gifts for the parents for nearly every holiday.
In 2016 she moved next door to the daycare and now a much more active role in the program. She joins us every morning to make breakfast with the kids. They are always eager to find out who will be her daily “special helper”. She often comes for playtime and to read stories to them.
The children and parents alike all call her grandma Laurie as she plays such a special role to each of us.
